Arch Linux 2012.07.15 Release

Arch Linux 2012.07.15 was announced on July 22nd and was surprised to see that AIF has been removed. From the announcement:

Most notable change is that AIF (the Arch Installation Framework) is no longer included but instead some simple install scripts are provided to aid in the installation process. This means a menu driven installer is no longer available and we rely more on documentation to guide new users.

Also, the image installers will now be signed and their signatures should be verified before use by using the following command (from an existing Arch install):

pacman-key -v .sig

Would like to note that this is note a new release since Arch Linux is a rolling-release distribution. Arch Linux 2012.07.15 is available as a “netinstall” ISO image from the sites Downloads section.
